NBE is now accepting applications for the 2024 educational grant for echocardiography examinations!

Grant Description

The program will provide 10 (ten) grants per examination (CCEeXAM®, ASCeXAM®, Advanced PTEeXAM®, and Basic PTE®) to first-time candidates taking one of the initial examinations for the first time.

Deadline to apply: July 2, 2024, for ASCeXAM®, Advanced PTEeXAM® and Basic PTEeXAM® examinations.

If your application is accepted, grant monies will be awarded after examinations are taken.

NBE has recently transitioned to a self-managed organization after being managed by an association management company for many years. Over the last 60 days, we had temporary staff in place to assist us, which resulted in delayed responses to inquiries.

As of this week, we are fully staffed and working to respond to calls and emails.  We sincerely appreciate your patience.

NBE launched a new portal for exam and certification applications in March of 2023. If you have not yet logged into this system, please follow the instructions below.

Do NOT use your e-mail username to log in. Those credentials are no longer valid. The new system requires you to utilize your 8-digit customer ID number as your username.

Your customer ID number and a new password will need to be created to access your account. Your customer ID was automatically generated when NBE underwent the technology upgrade.

You should have received an email from NBE in March of 2023 with instructions on how to access your account. If you need assistance, please send an email to info@echoboards.org. Someone will be able to assist you in obtaining your customer ID, change your password, update your address, email address, etc.

Do not create a new profile if you had an NBE account previously.

The National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) announces a redesigned website.
The NBE is delighted to announce the launch of a new website to incorporate a technology upgrade, www.echoboards.org.

NBE is introducing a modernized automated process that will increase efficacy and maximize customer service.
Notable features of the website and technological updates include:

Upon further evaluation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NBE has re-evaluated the extended COVID-19 policy and those affected within the 2020 and 2021 calendar years.  It has been determined that on December 31, 2024, we will no longer be accepting applications using the extended COVID-19 policy. For additional clarification of this policy, please refer to the appropriate handbook.
