Updated Application Requirements for Advanced PTE Certification (Supervised Training Pathway)

Subject: Requirement Policy Update – Log of Studied, Not Performed Cases

The National Board of Echocardiography, Inc. (NBE) wishes to inform all candidates, program directors, and applicants of an important policy update regarding the Advanced PTE® Certification via the Supervised Training Pathway.

Effective immediately, Advanced PTE certification applicants qualifying under the Supervised Training Pathway are no longer required to submit a log of “Studied, but not performed” cases.

Key Details & Changes:
• Immediate Effect: This change applies to all new applications submitted on or after this date, as well as pending applications currently under review.
• Portal & Documentation Updates: The online application portal and the Advanced PTE® Certification Handbook have been updated to reflect this change. Applicants will no longer see the upload field or requirement for the “Studied, but not performed” case log during the application submission process.

All other eligibility criteria, including required exam pass status (Testamur), letter of service, and licensure requirements, remain unchanged.
