FAQs

What is the cost of MOCE®/ MOTE®?

The enrollment fee is $85 USD for required participants and $0 USD for optional participants.

Am I required to enroll if my status has not expired?

Exam pass date determines when enrollment is required:

  • Before July 2024: Enrollment is not required until your status expires.
  • July 2024 or later: Enrollment is required the following year.
  • Example: Passed in July 2024 → enroll in 2025.

Can I enroll if my status has expired?

Yes. An amnesty period is available through December 31, 2027.

During amnesty, Diplomates and Testamurs may reinstate their status simply by enrolling.

If annual requirements are not completed by the end of the amnesty period, expired Diplomates and Testamurs will move to Inactive status.

Beginning January 1, 2028, once inactive, how do I regain Active status?

Inactive Diplomates and Testamurs must retake and pass the initial examination and reapply for initial certification to regain their MOCE®/ MOTE® status.
