Recertification Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ReASCE)
EXAM APPLICATION
For your convenience the examination application is now available to register for the 2010 ReASCE®.
To download the application, click on the 2010 ReASCE Application link and submit the following documentation:
- Complete the 2 page application
- A copy of your current license to practice medicine with an expiration
NOTE: Non-North American Trained Physicians applying for the ReASCE® examination must supply the following:
- If your medical license does not have an expiration date, you are required to supply ONE of the following:
- An original letter from the Medical Council stating your license is permanent
- An original certificate of good standing; dated no more than 12 months prior to date application receive
- All documentation must be supplied in English. If original documentation is not in English, a certified translation must be attached to each document.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for the 2010 ReASCE® must hold a current license to practice medicine at the time of application or equivalent documentation of permission to practice medicine in the country of principal resident.
AND
Have passed the ASEeXAM or ASCeXAM® in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, or 2001.
Non-North American Trained Physicians applying for the ReASCE® examination must supply the following:

RECERTIFICATION
Physician’s who previously passed the ReASCE® examination, use the conversion application in the 2009 ReASCE Application brochure to apply for board recertification.
For Physicians participating in the 2010 ReASCE® examination, please refer back to our website in early September 2010 to obtain a recertification application.
The recertification application and supporting documents is not required to register for the examination and can be submitted at any time.
SUNSET CLAUSE
Due to the rapidly changing technology and advances in echocardiography, The National Board of Echocardiography® recommends physicians take this examination at least once every ten (10) years.
