- Alert: The 2011 ASCeXAM will be held on July 25th, 2011.
- Alert: The 2011 Advanced PTEeXAM will be held on July 8th, 2011.
- Alert: The 2011 ReASCE exam will be held on July 25th, 2011.
- Alert: The 2011 RePTE will be held on July 8th, 2011.
- Alert: The 2011 Basic PTEeXAM will be held on November 7th, 2011.
Verification of Physician's Certification
(Status as of August 13, 2010)
- Testamur - An individual who has successfully passed the ASCeXAM, PTEeXAM, ReASCE, or RePTE examination and has chosen not to apply for certification.
- Diplomate - An individual who has successfully passed the ASCeXAM, PTEeXAM, ReASCE, or RePTE examination and has provided documentation of their education and level of service, and satisfied the other requirements set by the NBE.
- Recertification Maintenance for Testamurs or Diplomates of the ASCeXAM or PTEeXAM - Testamurs and Diplomates are required to take the recertification examination in either the 9th, 10th, or 11th year surrounding their 10-year anniversary date to maintain their status with the NBE.
- Early - Testamurs and Diplomates will take or have passed the recertification examination in their 9th year surrounding their 10-year anniversary date.
- On Time - Testamurs and Diplomates will take or have passed the recertification examination in their 10th year surrounding their 10-year anniversary date.
- Graced - Testamurs and Diplomates will take or have passed the recertification examination in their 11th year surrounding their 10-year anniversary date. The NBE allows individuals an extra year after their 10-year anniversary date to take recertification examination before certification status has lapsed.
- Indefinite - Testamur status is valid indefinitely.
