The 2009 ReASCE examination will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009.
The 2008 ReASCE application is now available.
Physicians who passed the ASCeXAM in 1996 - 1999 will automatically receive an application when they are available.
NOTE: For those physicians who passed the ASExam in 1996 and are applying for the 2008 ReASCE, please contact the National Board of Echocardiography for further information regarding certification requirements.
 

Recertification Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ReASCE)

Sunday, May 4, 2008
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Applications must be received by NBE by March 28, 2008.
Note: Applications requesting special accommodations must be received by April 6, 2007.

Hilton Anatole, Dallas, TX
ELIGIBILITY
Previous certified status (Diplomate of the National Board), particularly those who first passed ASCeXAM in 1996-98. Applicants for the ReASCE must hold a current, unconditional, and unrestricted license to practice medicine at the time of application, or equivalent documentation of permission to practice medicine in the country of principal residence. A copy of the Current Medical License that shows the expiration date must accompany the application. All documentation must be supplied in English. If original documentation is not in English, a certified translation must be attached to each document.
2008 CONTENT OUTLINE
WAIT LIST POLICY
NBE reserves the right to limit the number of candidates sitting for the examination. We therefore recommend that you submit your application as early as possible, as applications will be processed in order of the date of receipt. The NBE will make every effort to accommodate as many examinees as possible. Applications that are incomplete or do not include payment will not be placed on the waiting list.
SUNSET CLAUSE:
Due to the rapidly changing technology and advances in echocardiography, The National Board of Echocardiography recommends physicians take this examination at least once every ten (10) years.
