- ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants for the ASCeXAM must hold a current, unconditional, and unrestricted license to practice medicine at the time of application, or equivalent documentation of permission to practice medicine in the country of principal residence. A copy of the Current Medical License that shows the expiration date must accompany the application. All documentation must be supplied in English. If original documentation is not in English, a certified translation must be attached to each document.

- WAIT LIST POLICY
- NBE reserves the right to limit the number of candidates sitting for the examination. We therefore recommend that you submit your application as early as possible, as applications will be processed in order of the date of receipt. The NBE will make every effort to accommodate as many examinees as possible. Applications that are incomplete or do not include payment will not be placed on the waiting list.
- SUNSET CLAUSE:
- Due to the rapidly changing technology and advances in echocardiography, The National Board of Echocardiography recommends physicians take this examination at least once every ten years.
